Welcome to Serenity AI Journal & Diary ("the App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our mobile application. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

You retain all rights to the content you create in the App (your journal entries, photos, tags, etc.). We do not claim any ownership over your content.

Your journal entries are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, entries are stored in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your journal content. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6.1 AI-Generated Prompts

The App uses Groq AI to generate personalized journal prompts. These prompts are suggestions only and should not be considered professional advice. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, relevance, or suitability of AI-generated content.

6.2 Third-Party Service

Groq AI is a third-party service. By using AI features, you acknowledge that your mood selection (but not journal content) is sent to Groq AI. Groq's terms and privacy policy apply to this service.

6.3 Offline Fallback

The App includes local prompt generation when AI services are unavailable. This ensures continued functionality without internet connection.

7. Health and Medical Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Serenity AI Journal & Diary is a wellness and self-reflection tool, NOT a medical device or mental health treatment.

Use of the App does not create a doctor-patient or therapist-client relationship. Consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical or mental health advice.

8. Subscription and Payments

8.1 Free Version

The App is currently offered free of charge. Core features are available without payment.

8.2 Future Pricing

We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscriptions in the future. Any changes to pricing will be communicated clearly, and you will have the option to continue using free features or upgrade.

8.3 Apple's Payment Terms

If we introduce in-app purchases, they will be processed through Apple's App Store. Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases will apply.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, graphics, and content (excluding your journal entries), is owned by Serenity AI Journal and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

"Serenity AI Journal," "Serenity AI Journal & Diary," and related logos are trademarks. You may not use these without written permission.
